Is what you are doing lillahi taala?

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

We are human beings. An-Nas, even the Arabic word of humankind is derived from (& have the same meaning of) 'forget'. Being forgetful is the fitrah, an element that cannot be taken away from a normal human. It's a norm to be forgetful but surely we cannot blame this trait as the factor of leading us astray from our Creator.

Every morning when we wake up, we have been reminded by Allah that only with the power of His command that we are able to regain the consciousness, to continue living. But let's ask this question to ourselves, is every act that we do in our life based upon Him? Do we study, do we eat, do we walk etc etc etc merely for the sake of obtaining His redha?

A sister came to our residence and Allah is so kind that He made the sister talked about studying lillahi.
For your information, next Monday marks the start of our semester exam (before the one-month-semester-break yahoooo) and this week is the final week for us to do our revision.

Allah knocked on my door and reminded me of the ultimate goal of studying; only for Him, no other but Him.

Allah should always be our aim and to excel in studies is merely a tool in achieving His mercy.

Students nowadays (including me of course) focus too much on getting good grades as we only see the physical reward that we'll get - satisfaction, people's praises & attention, ignorant of His overpowering love that we'll have at the end of the day if we put Him as the priority in the studies.

What is the purpose of us being created in the first place, anyway?

To serve Him as our God, the source of everything.

We rely too much on the 'study-gila-gila' factor and we claim that if we put 110% effort in studies then only we'll get good grades that we simply forget of His power - kun faya kun.

Dangerous.

Just remember that to put efforts in studying is only a means of obtaining Him, that to succeed in exam is not everything.

A true mukmin will make full use of the time that he has to give the best that he could in making the Rabb pleased. He will never give up in studying for he is aware of his Lord's command but never will he be sad if he doesn't get good results. He believes in Allah's power to give the best in everything. The failure will never deter him from running towards God for the real mukmin only wants Allah and not the reward that the world has to offer.
