Change

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Months passed by and I didn't actually realise that I've gone through multiple phases of life that has somewhat changed me. Afterall, I didn't expect all these things to happen. A person pointed out that I have changed and deep down inside, I know that it's a good one - a good change.

If today is a better day than yesterday, that's an accomplishment. An achievement that we should thank Allah for because He is the One who lets us becoming better in the first place.

I have heard this one person talking about the intention of changing. We need not let ourselves know that we're undergoing a phase that is responsible in changing us in a good way because that might disrupt the pureness of the intention...I think? Maybe the thing that we should do instead is to remind ourselves that whatever happens, it's all due to His power that everything would be impossible if He doesn't say Kun faya kun.

Like what Brother Nouman Ali Khan said,

 "Nothing depends on us".

Sometimes, we don't realise that our ego is eating us slowly. We often think that every good thing that Allah gives depends on our du'a, the power of our du'a. But in fact, He gives all those things out of His never-ending mercy and compassion towards His needy servants. And just maybe, everything that we receive is only a form of tests.

May Allah protect us all from the unseen diseases of the qalb. Ameen.
