Is what you are doing lillahi taala?

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. We are human beings. An-Nas, even the Arabic word of humankind is derived from (& have the same meaning of) 'forget'. Being forgetful is the fitrah, an element that cannot be taken away from a normal human. It's a norm to be forgetful but surely we cannot blame this trait as the factor of leading us astray from our Creator. Every morning when we wake up, we have been reminded by Allah that only with the power of His command that we are able to regain the consciousness, to continue living. But let's ask this question to ourselves, is every act that we do in our life based upon Him? Do we study, do we eat, do we walk etc etc etc merely for the sake of obtaining His redha? A sister came to our residence and Allah is so kind that He made the sister talked about studying lillahi. For your information, next Monday marks the start of our semester exam (before the one-month-semester-break yahoooo) and this week is the final week for us to do...

Problems, I have Allah!

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Having the sky as my canvas, having the birds chirping as the music, I reckon that Allah is beckoning me to start pondering on the pleasures that He gives me for free. Yes, it is true that valuable things in life are gained without having to spend your money on it. One of them is contentment- to feel just enough with everything that we have right now. (This is my personal way of defining 'contentment' anyway. What's yours?) Even the slightest breeze of wind can make you feel at ease, through and through; provided that Allah allows that small thing to actually 'touch' your heart. We often complain and shutting our eyes to the joys around us. The whiners always see the dark side of life, insisting on saying that the hitches are more abundant than the pleasures that they have. Being the forgetful human beings, we don't remember that since the first day on Earth, Allah has given everything (yes, EVERYTHING!) that we need without aski...

My interpretation of sacrifice

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. * The absence of the festivity implores me to spend my Eid morning working on my Sociology essay in front of the laptop, accompanied by the voice coming from TV Al-Hijrah. The house is empty. The boys are at the surau, probably watching the cows & goats being slaughtered and ayah is maybe helping the pak cik slaughtering the animals. Ibu is sending the food to the relatives' houses. I am multi-tasking. Doing research for my essay, watching TV and taking care of Hasif at one time. * Today's topic is sacrifice. As a student, what I am sacrificing now is my time. Sacrificing the nafs for entertainment, the nafs to sleep, merely for the sake of studying, insyaAllah for Him. The sacrifice doesn't need to be huge and prominent to the world. Let it just be known to ourselves and it's sufficient to be presented to Allah soon. As long as the niat is pure and sincere, Allah will reward us for the sacrifice that we make as a child, stude...

Summary

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. All praises to Allah that I am home again. After spending 3 weeks at the college right after Eid break, accompanied by the Sun and the rain (FYI the excessive exposure under the hot weather caused my skin to turn darker T^T), yes, I am finally home again, alhamdulillah. Despite the fact that I actually came home last weekend via train and most importantly BY MYSELF (tapi dari Seremban sampai BTS, Ipah ada je dalam komuter dengan saya ihik), that doesn't count because it was only for 3 days. And the experience travelling from Seremban to KL by using public transports was indeed thrilling. But I daresay that it is not recommended for a lady to travel by herself without being accompanied by anybody because safety comes first. The decision to go home via public transports last week was made due to the unbearable desire to surprise my family at home and the fact that homework was not that many amplified the desire even more. Thank God that He eased my jo...

Lonely....not!

When they told me the stories from their respective colleges & universities, I felt somewhat isolated. Not physically of course, but the gap was felt, it was there, literally. Recently, I came to realise that I am not 'that' warm and open to share my life with new people or should I say, strangers? Seeing the pictures that they posted on the net made me cringed inside. "Am I really putting a great effort in adapting there?" They found their cliques, I found none. I have been disappointed by people who (kind of) left me for another person and yes, those were the days of me being so naive and a fool. I've been holding on to this quote for quite some time, "Love him (or her), he'll (or she'll) break your heart, love Him and this dunya can't tear you apart." I am comfortable being alone. Don't bother offering me your company cause I hate to put my trust in people that might someday break my heart (and I myself don't know ...

The word that starts with 'H'

Bismillah.  Happy. That's the word.  KMS' Surau al-Furqan, Ramadan 1434H/July 2013 She is happy that she's now in Keramat with the complete little big family of hers. Words cannot ever be enough to describe her exact feelings now. It's a combination of disbelief, joy and utter excitement. Somewhere near Bazar Ampangan. Cubaan berani mati keluar lepas Asar berdua dengan roommate just because I craved for kek batik, Ramadan 1434H/July 2013 Alhamdulillah. I hope that I will be more spirited to be a better me (academically, emotionally, spiritually) after this 2-week-Raya-break. I don't want to be sad anymore! *feeling deterrmined* Doakan please? :)  - Saya nak ke UK tahun 2016 nanti. Nak dapat 15 points untuk AS & A2; A-Level examinations. Semoga Allah beri yang terbaik untuk kita semua.

Priceless

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. All praises to Him that it's already a month (approximately) that KMS has become a part of me. Though this may sound cliche, indeed time flies so fast that I'm now a college student who's only a step away in getting what she has craved for since forever (haha forever lah sangat, waktu Form 3 je baru dapat ilham Allah bagi nak pergi oversea ni ha). I know that I've wronged gazillion times before and am quite certain that mistakes + sins will be made every day as long as I'm breathing. We are made of imperfections. But He has always believed that us, the imperfect human beings are the most perfect creature who will bring goodness to the world (in performing our duty as His khalifah), who will  be in His heaven (and an-Nar as well), there in the afterlife. Through the true stories that were told to me via the countless talks/sharing sessions here in KMS or maybe through the TV programmes etc, I come to the realisation that Allah is indee...
