Behind The Words

Assalamualaikum wbt (to the one who is reading this, whoever you are, how on Earth do you find my blog, like seriously?).

Good day, mate.

I am Nur Amalina, Amal for short (but has always preferred to be called Amalina, though it would sound quite awkward). My KMS family would often call me Amal/Amalina J.

Have always liked to write, scribble, doodle and yes, doodle some more. Started to blog in 2010 when I was only a 15-year-old who was beginning to search for her true self (still searching for her, somehow).

I love to ramble on anything, I just love to jot down my thoughts as you see, we can't always depend on our brain to stuff all the memories inside it, can we? Though this brain of ours has always been a remarkable creature of Allah's, we must find some ways to let things out of this mind and save it somewhere else, hence the blogs, diaries etc.

Read, in the name of your Lord. Write and read.

I just love to look back at my past and with this blog, by reading back the posts in the archive makes me laugh at myself at times. To see how vulnerable and how helpless I am, as a human generally, it's just funny and amusing.

I have big dreams. One of them is to study science (not quite sure yet, but Biotechnology seems nice) in a foreign country, be it in Middle East, Europe or The States. :D I don't mind which country will I be dwelling in. As long as that is the best for me from Allah, I'll accept it.

However, if fate fares me better here, in my lovely lovely Malaysia, I ought not to weep for Allah knows best. He knows what I need. After all, at times (but in my case, most of the time) we don't quite need all the things that we want in life, ey? I just have to be resigned with all the things that He plans for me in the future.

But before that, let's be realistic, shall we, Amalina?

(12 days left for your biggest exam, SPM. Straight A dulu lah baru cerita nak pergi mana.)

Prioritize your priorities and your dreams will come after you ;)

/ I love reading. (As a Muslim, Kalamullah has never let me down, not even once.)

Crime thriller has always been my interest but general fiction has its place in my heart too. So, if you want to buy me something, buy me a novel, pretty please? :P (Grisham's, Hart's, Picoult's are to be prioritized, thank you)

// I have a sweet tooth and this explains constant cravings for milkshakes, Arab desserts (baklava especially), cheesecakes and Pralines n Cream.

/// I'd love to learn how to roller-blade, to play the piano and the guitar, and last but not least to drive a car of my own. Soon, God-willing.

Mmm, this is a lot.

I write things preferable to my mind, not others. Therefore, sorry in advance if the contents of this blog are not of according to your likings.

By holding on to the principle of "with every hardship there is relief", I believe that I can do anything but surely not everything.

That's all for today and thank you.
